Onslow Avenue, Richmond

This lovely house in Richmond had an awkward kitchen layout with a lean-to type conservatory which was used for storage. The brief was to open up the whole space, let more light in and make a better connection with the rest of the house. My solution was to demolish the uPVC conservatory and remove the side wall to create a larger, light space for kitchen, dining and general social area. A large steel beam over 8m long supports the back of the original house. Structural glass was used at the side to maximise light. New kitchen and bespoke storage units work well with the polished concrete flooring.

This property was featured in ‘Good Homes’ magazine.
